Live with PBGB, featuring Jen Halper on vocals.  Despite Jen's work commitments, we got 4 songs together to play live.  Here is one of mine shot at the Cheeky Mango in Merimbula.  This version of PBGB includes: Jen Halper, John Drews (B3), Rob Smallwood (guitar), Chris Ralfs (bass), Peter Reid (drums) and me (guitar).

This is the collaboration I've been wanting to do since I started recording my own music back in 2005 -- I didn't know any of these great musicians at the time, but I'd always imagined getting some great players together and recording something live - one person doing only what they could do on stage, and each of us recording in a single take, which we videod as we were doing it (we nearly pulled that off!). It was an added bonus to be able to do it as a video, and I can't express enough how grateful I am that these 6 players/singers were willing to put in the time and creative energy to humour me ☺
John Libby from Boston, Massachusetts on keys.
Anne Cozean and Marty Ross Vining  from North Fork, California - backing vocals
Mike Watkins from Stirling, Virginia on drums.
Chris Flynn from Dallas, Texas on bass.
Thor Oliversen from Stavanger, Norway on guitar.
Neil Porter from Pambula Beach, NSW, Australia -vocals, guitar, video and audio production.
I would do pretty much anything to play live with this collection of really classy musicians.

Our little band is getting serious after some intensive cobweb brushing has been going on. This track was recorded live in one run (I think it's our second take) - the solo is dubbed, but otherwise just a little tweaking in Logic Pro. It's the first recording we've done on our new equipment, and we're pretty pleased how it came out. This is very much a rough take, but augers well for the future.
Peter Reid - drums and vocal
Gus Washbourne - rhythm guitar
Chris Ralphs - bass
Neil Porter - lead guitar, audio production
Mark Reid - video production

Rob Hicks was one of the good guys - he didn't really fit in all the time, but he was a gentle, talented soul. This is tribute to his life and the great days we used to spend playing music at his place in Oatley, Sydney when we were young. Not quite a band, but a lot more than a jam. Sound/video recorded in January 2010.
Neil Porter - vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion, audio and video production
